Frequently Asked Questions

MSBR Services and Expertise

At MSBR, we have a complete team of qualified, experienced and reliable designers and  tradespeople and suppliers for your bathroom, kitchen, laundry, toilet and even whole house renovations. Yes! We can do it all!

The timeframe for a renovation depends on what room or rooms you’d like us to work on. Also, we will need to consider your particular product selections and whether your project has custom elements. In these cases, additional time may be required.

For bathrooms, we estimate anywhere from 4 to 5 weeks.

We suggest 6 -8 weeks if you want to renovate your bathroom, toilet, and laundry simultaneously. A kitchen renovation can take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks, dependent upon joinery, benchtop and splashback selections.

Please note these are estimates because every project is different. Time frames are subject to change based on product availability and supplier and manufacturer timelines.

If your project includes customised elements such as cabinetry or joinery, additional time may be required for works to be completed.

Come and have a chat with our team. We’re happy to discuss your needs to give you accurate timelines.

Yes. We recommend it. It’s about getting it all consistently done at the one time. Remember that living in and enduring the mess of simultaneously renovating rooms is temporary! Once the renovations are completed it will be all worth it. You can sit back and enjoy your home.

MSBR Design Services

We certainly do! Whether you know what you want or you have yet to figure it out, we provide complementary design services so you can achieve the exact look and feel of your home.

Taking advantage of an interior design service will guide you to capture and achieve the finished look you desire.

Paying particular attention to the design aspects will also improve your home’s functionality. Engaging with our design team is taking an exciting step towards creating an efficient, comfortable and stylish living space that caters perfectly to your lifestyle.

MSBR aims to make your renovation journey as seamless and stress-free as possible. As such, we recommend that product purchases be through MSBR’s suppliers.

We have established long-standing relationships with reputable suppliers over the years, prioritising product quality and after-sales service. Our recommendation is to make the most of our extensive choices of products by leveraging our expertise and connections to the best in the industry.

A renovation is about an exciting, fresh new start! To ensure the longevity and durability of your new space, we discourage repurposing old, used products for your renovations.

Despite our team’s best efforts and care for prevention, it’s important to keep in mind that items have the potential to get damaged during demolition.

With our vast range of top-quality products and reliable suppliers, we will put your mind at ease, knowing there are long-standing warranties and reliable after-sale support.

We primarily work in kitchens, laundries and WIR’s and can also custom design vanities, tall boys and shaving cabinets dependent upon your needs and style. Just ask us.

You certainly can! And we are here to help you achieve the room layout for your home. Clients do need to be aware that the movement of any plumbing pipes will require plumbing permits and inspections.

MSBR and our licensed plumbers will coordinate these works on the client’s behalf, which includes submitting plants to relevant regulatory authorities. We will also organise permits and inspections at several project stages, giving you peace of mind that your project is seamlessly managed with expertise and efficiency.

MSBR Building and Construction Services

MSBR takes pride in offering clients an end-to-end service. If your renovation project requires structural or foundational works, we will leverage our extensive network of reputable and highly experienced tradespeople and suppliers to deliver a high-quality result.

MSBR will arrange for the works to be approved and overseen by a qualified structural engineer and licensed builder.

We treat termite damage in two stages. A qualified termite expert will first treat the affected areas while setting termite bait stations. MSBR’s experienced carpenters then complete rectification works. If structural beams or other construction components have been compromised or affected, we will assign a structural engineer to oversee the rectification works.

The most common form of silica is quartz, found in certain stones, rocks, sand, gravel and clay. Silica dust can also be found in bricks, pavers, tiles and concrete.

The MSBR team is qualified and trained in silica awareness and prevention. We will take all precautions and follow industry guidelines and protocols to ensure our work is completed safely and successfully.

Asbestos is treated similarly to silica. Due to its hazardous nature,  asbestos demolition will be conducted by a specialised third party with a high-risk ticket license. Clearance of asbestos requires a clearance certificate. The property is only deemed safe once this certificate is issued and carpentry works can recommence.

Adhering to WHS protocols, MSBR only engages qualified, licensed contractors to conduct asbestos testing. To avoid unnecessary delays and WHS risks, we will schedule and conduct testing prior to works and include the time needed into the project schedule.

Asbestos and silica removals are a safety hazard. Like all demolition works, leaving the premises during asbestos removal is mandatory for your safety, family, and others.

In accordance with WHS protocols, occupants are strictly prohibited from being on the premises during demolition. Our team will advise you when it is safe to return to your home.
